About Us

The idea for Christian Birth Workers of St. Louis began over a cup of coffee between two birth workers. As they spoke, the need for connection between Christians in the St. Louis birth community became apparent. Not long after, our first group meeting took place in yet another coffee shop. As we traded stories, hopes, and dreams, something beautiful began to take shape. The Doulas, Midwives, and lactation consultants present were eager and excited to see what God was doing.

By 2024, our meetings were taking place monthly. We met at various locations like a local church, beloved cafes, and even at a local chiropractic office! This consistancy in community where we shared personal spiritual stories, discussed our career journeys, and prayed for one another bonded us. Additionally, we were fortunate to gather in informational settings to hear from many local providers who gave us insight into topics such as infant sleep, tongue ties, and bereavement birth ministry. Whether it was meeting for lunch at one of our leader’s homes, or celebrating Christmas at the Old Spaghetti Factory, we had a wonderful time meeting together and brainstorming ways in which we could make a positive impact for the growing families of St. Louis.

It is our dream at CBW to operate as a helpful resource for local families who are looking for Christian professionals to come alongside them as they grow. By connecting to community members through our group and within our personal businesses we hope to contribute to a St. Louis where families experience the love and care of Jesus. We are in awe of what The Lord has built here and we look forward to where He will lead us to serve.

Thank you for taking the time to look us up. Please let us know how we can be of service to you. We look forward to hearing from you!
